The Embark Specialist at Dover AFB, Delaware will:
1. Address USMC/Navy cargo problems related to standard port procedures (violation of which results in discrepancies).
2. Provide assistance to aerial port customer service representatives regarding DOD transiting shipments.
3. Assist aerial port customer service representatives by facilitating Marine Corps/Navy process improvements to minimize the occurrence of Marine Corps/Navy sponsored frustrated cargo.
4. Resolve/Process all frustrated cargo to ensure compliance with both aerial port and DOD requirements.
5. Monitor all cargo movements through all modes of transportation from origin to destination to determine the effectiveness of contracted transportation in meeting the Defense Transportation Time-line.
6. Is trained in the doctrinal concepts of landing support and the landing force support party; conducting port, arrival/departure airfield, helicopter landing zone, and rail head.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES: Reporting directly to the Task Leader, the Embark Specialist assures that all tasks noted above are accomplished to customer specifications and requirements. As required, he/she takes those actions necessary to insure operational excellence on behalf of the customer at Dover AFB, Delaware.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Personal computer and other general office equipment. Must have reliable internet connectivity access.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is generally conducted in an office environment and at project work areas.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Work may require prolonged sitting or standing, critical reading/proofing, and travel up to 10%
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
A high school diploma is required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration or Systems Management is preferred, plus 4 years additional relevant experience in positions of increasing responsibility. Certifications in a supporting field highly preferred. Former military logistician, preferably USMC, very much preferred. Must possess thorough knowledge of distribution processes.
Experience:
The candidate must have direct and relevant experience in the following areas:

Must possess excellent computer, interpersonal, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work with limited supervision while adhering to stringent timelines.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
