MORTUARY CONTROL CENTER SPECIALIST

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions Series, 0301 SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of operational, training procedures, policies and guidelines, ability to collect and organize data, and ability to analyze plans and procedures, identify weaknesses, and resolve problems. Knowledge and skill in applying evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations. Knowledge of the organization, programs, missions, and functions of the Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations and HQ Air Force to plan, schedule and coordinate C3 activities. In-depth ability to present and resolve complex issues, program considerations, and technical interests with agency specialists and managers and/or other joint service military departments or support agencies and coordinates and eliminates conflicts between DOD and local/cross service agencies during HR Transport and Dignified Transfer program. Knowledge of contracting and inter-service support agreements in order to administer local and one time mortuary service contracts. OR EDUCATION:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. NOTE:

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE:
You must submit a copy of transcripts. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in- grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of AMC command and control mission monitoring and AMC transportation system. 2. Knowledge of security instructions, practices and procedures. 3. Ability to research, collect, analyze, organize, and prepare data. 4. Skill to effectively communicate orally and in writing. 5. Maintain appropriate security clearance. 6. Ability to make decisions and select a course of action under high stress conditions associated with emergency situations. 7. Skill in planning and executing multiple logistical events simultaneously within proper protocol channels. 8. Skill in planning and coordinating difficult and complex problems, i.e. use of cross-functional systems such as GDSS with mission tracking. PART-TIME OR UNPAID

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
